Myra Dore wearing her beaded "Raven Necklace"Myra Doré is a Tlingit of the Takdeintaan Clan.

Her Tlingit name is Shun nuck du june, which means "Dreamer."

She was born and raised in Juneau, Alaska. Her parents were Assunta Rudolph of the Takdeintaan Clan and Paul Rudolph, Sr., of the Yun Yei Dei Clan.

She is an accomplished beader who spends much of her time making beautiful moccasins, regalia, tunics and blankets for her Native dance group Leeng'it Kust'i.

Myra Dore has learned from Anita Lafferty, leftDoré has learned much from Anita Lafferty of Hoonah. Lafferty is a teacher in language, songs, regalia making, moccasins and beads, said Doré, pictured with Lafferty in photo, left.
