“Tlingit Body Armor”
Tlingit body armor made of alder slats and rods and woven together with hemp. Wooden panels are stitched together with leather lacing. Moosehide straps. Two alder toggles fasten the armor around the body.  This is an unusual piece; Tommy Joseph is one of the few (if not the only) Native artists making armor that mirrors ancient pieces worn by Tlingit warriors.
