Bart L. Churchill
See: Wood Carvings

Bart L. Churchill is an accomplished Tlingit carver from the Eagle/Brown Bear Clan. Born in Everett, WA, Bart was raised and now resides in Wrangell, Alaska. He has been carving for most of his life and at a young age, his passion was to learn and understand more about his culture. This knowledge would prove to be essential in his artwork. Bart soon became partial to the techniques he'd observed over the years and continues today to create and carve works of art in the traditions he knows and loves. As a commercial fisherman, Bart produces his work in the long winter months. "BLC" -- his signature -- is easily recognizable on all his carvings, which are predominantly made of red or yellow cedar.
